Hello world!
Monday, July 31st, 2006God has been performing heart surgery this past week and I was the patient. I am thankful that God loves me enough to show Himself real in my life on a consistent basis. I am thrilled that God has counted me faithful and allows me to live this abnormal life of being His rep. The only problem is that it is a bit painful from time to time. I have to say this past week God stretched, chopped, and removed my grip on life. Why? I believe to show me He is the one accomplishing everything. At this stage in my Christian life I have to say that if anything gets accomplished for the Kingdom then without a doubt everyone around will have to undoubtedly know that God did every bit of it. The only thing that I will be able to boast about will be that fact that God used me to do it!!!
It is similar to an experience I had when I was a young teenager who had just begun preaching. I had been entered in a young preaching competition through Word of Life. Well, the first year I did okay and made it through a level or two. The second year not so well. This time it was me alone, I decided to leave God out. All competitors were suppose to preach 10 minute messages. I preached a minute and a half and said all I had to say. It is hilarious to think back about. But God was working in my life and just the same He is working in my life now. He is faithful to show me that it is His work, His way, and His Glory. I am learning not to fall in the trap of thinking I am the one getting things done. That can lead to some pretty embarrassing situations. God is the one and He will be the one to help us have a part in world evangelism from South Africa.
I hope this blog is a blessing. I will be writing about the ups, downs, thrills, and trials of the ministry in South Africa and how we are progressing to make an impact on the world!
