Update

Monday, August 17th, 2009

We had a good meeting yesterday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Ringgold, Ga, Pastor David Flood. They are in the middle of remodeling their sanctuary and I believe it is going to look awesome when they are finished. Currently they meet in their gymnasium, which, also makes for a great looking auditorium.

Anyways keep this church in your prayers as they are without a youth pastor right now and they have had quite a few youth in the past that need someone to lead them.

Thanks Pastor Flood for the opportunity to come by!

Today’s meetings

This morning I preached at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Chatsworth, GA and baptized three for the pastor after the service. We had a good time studying God’s Word together. Please pray for pastor Travis Martin as he is unable to preach or do other duties of a pastor as he is having problem with his voice and his side.

Tonight we were in a church in Ringgold, GA, pastor Waymond Cooper. Here we made a good contact with a young preacher and hopefully will continue to strengthen this friendship and be able to connect him with other young preachers and missionaries the Summit and the 2009 Expository Bible Teaching and Preaching Conference

Update

It is unfortunate but tommorrow I will be attending my second funeral since arriving home. My great aunt passed away on Friday of last week and now my step dad’s father passed away on Tuesday. Please pray for the families.

On a more positive side my brother and his wife have just brought two healthly babies into the world, a boy and a girl. They are serving God in Peru, South America.

Last night we dropped in at North Georgia Baptist church in Tunnel Hill, GA and I was given an opportunity to preach. It was the first time I have preached in English in a long time. We had a good time and made some friends and hopefully a young college girl of the church will attend the Our Generation Summit in Gatlinburg, TN. Be praying for Tiffany McClure that she would be able to be part of this great event!
