Wednesday News!
We just finished out Wednesday night service where we studied some different aspects of prayer from I Timothy. We desperately need praying people in our church. One of the greatest truths I got from today’s study was that we have to intercede on behalf of others. While most people start by praying for their own needs Paul begs us to make intercessory prayer in this chapter. The emphasis in the first few verses in this chapter is on “all men.” The Bible tells us that God would have all men to be saved and that Christ is the only go between for men to get to God/ or to talk to God.
Christ’s role in Heaved is as our “umlamli” or mediator. He intercedes on our behalf in prayer in Heaven. Here on earth we are to mimic him as mediators or as people that pray for the needs of the lost especially their salvation. It is ashame that multitudes die and go to hell because of starvation when their is enough of the Bread of Life to feed the entire world. Let us intercede on the behalf of others/ let us put their needs before our own.
